It’s almost summer where I live in America and I’m so excited to be enjoying these warm temperatures we’ve been having. With the summer coming, I always like to wear some nice sundresses to keep myself comfortable. My girls seem to share my love for summer dresses so I’m sewing a few of the Chloe and Camille dresses for us this year!
A few years ago when I was just starting out, I designed and released the Chloe Dress for girls. In that time I’ve learned quite a bit about garment construction and quality pattern instructions so I decided to give the pattern a face lift. And since I’ve been requested to have a women’s version pretty much since the Chloe released, I figured I’d bring it out now.
Below are the descriptions of each of the dresses. The test for this is going to be pretty quick. We’ll start on May 18th (I’ll be adding people to the testing groups as late as the 19th) and end on May 25th. You will be required to submit modeled fit pictures by the end of the 25th before receiving the final pattern. I have a tight deadline on this test, so I won’t be able to extend it past the 25th. Starting on this test, we won’t be requiring final pictures for promotional purposes. If you would like to take them and share, you are welcome to!
The Camille (for women) is a woven dress with a darted bodice. The back closes at the neck with a button and there’s an invisible zipper at the bottom back and skirt. There are two options for sleeves: Cap and flutter sleeve. The skirt comes in two lengths: above knee and tea length. You have the option to do a plain hem or a beautiful scalloped hem. The Camille is drafted for sizes 00-26 in sewing cups A-E and is for intermediate sewers.

The Chloe Dress is for wovens and features an open back bodice with an elasticized waist in the back. You can choose from cap or flutter sleeves on the bodice or it can be made without sleeves. The skirt comes in two lengths: skirt length (mid shin height) and maxi length (ankle height). The Chloe is drafted for girls sizes 12M-10 and is for advanced beginner to intermediate sewers.
